INMATE HORSE TRAINING PROGRAM

The Riverton wild horse program was started in 1988. Horses are put through a "Four Level" program to ensure that they are fully prepared at each Level before their training is advanced. Fourth Level horses will accept a saddle and rider and will move forward, backward, left, right, walk, trot and halt on cue.
