Another Horse in the House
2007

Part Four

Update: Friday, May 19.

Ozzie has made terrific progress over the past couple of days. He seems to have gotten past his infections and even his worst injuries are healing up well. The roller coaster ride seems to have ended and Ozzie is starting to act like an active baby horse 24/7.

He's spending more time outside and is getting familiar with Ginger Kate, who has been a surrogate mom to quite a few orphans. He's already friends with Billy the Kid who oftentimes hangs out with the little ones.

Shirley wanted us to remind readers that she couldn't manage the "Critical Care Horse Nursery" without the assistance of so many local and competent volunteers who take turns watching the foals in order to give Shirley some rest, help bring in supplies and help out in so many support roles. Everyone who enjoys seeing these foals recover appreciates all the hard work of Shirley and her "crew."

More images will be posted as Ozzie continues to improve.
