Our letter in support of Brumby Watch Australia's
Fraser Island Brumby Effort

This is a continuation from Part One
Here is the letter I sent. If you intend to send your own letter, please use your own words
but feel free to address the concepts presented here. Please also remember that Parks and
Wildlife has not yet done anything wrong so our intent here is to ensure that the proper
processes are followed, not bash heads.

Dear Mr. Wells:
I have been advised by various sources that Queensland Parks and Wildlife may be
preparing for a clandestine brumby cull on Fraser Island. If these suspicions
are true, such action may have ominous consequences for Queensland Parks and
Wildlife. After the debacle at Guy Fawkes River people throughout the world have
focused their attention on brumby management and National Parks and Wildlife in
particular.
I have first hand knowledge that Brumby Watch Australia is preparing a brumby
management plan to present for review and consideration. A preemptive cull of
the Fraser Island brumbies would be an egregious act of bad faith.
Please investigate this matter and ensure that all appropriate processes take
place and options are considered before any action is taken against the Fraser
Island horses.
