More work on a front hoof

One of our primary objectives when working on hooves that have developed into misshapened horns is to open up the soles. If the horse can once again walk flat on his feet, the hoof walls will tend to spread back to their normal positions. It may take several trims before the walls have grown down in a more normal position, but hooves do try to recover their normal shapes. In these instances we will leave the horse to walk mainly on the soles of his feet and let the hoof walls grow back down at more normal angles.
