"River"
Part Six

Corrine continued to ground drive River, taking him all sorts of places, and doing basic saddle work in the round pen. Within a few days it was time to try River out in the riding arena. She and River went out with Patty and Comstock. From the looks of it they all had an enjoyable time of it and River did quite well.

River now competes in competetive trail trials and some distance events. He's the "go to" horse when folks with novice trail horses need a steady horse to lead the group. It's not unusual to see a pack of wary thoroughbreds following the smaller roan mustang.
