  JFK: The Lost Bullet
Part Five: How the Collection Signal
Looks Today

Here is how the signal in the collection looks after being analyzed, shot at and appearing in JFK: The Lost Bullet.

Back in the collection sporting its new color, back plate, full circle visors and a bullet hole.
Bullet hole in the back plate, the angle equivalent to the
direction of fire from the 5th floor of the Texas Book Depository.
Back side view of the bullet hole.
The back plate was on another signal when this shot was fired.
One example of a deflection on one of the "target" signals.
One of the more "aggressive" shots.
This original analysis does not prove that Lee Harvey Oswald's first shot deflected off the bottom of the traffic signal, but it provides one plausible explanation. The team is presently exploring other deflection possibilities in order to provide a comprehensive list of plausible explanations.

Special thanks to Steve Proctor, Tony Haag, Jay Jenkins, Steve Tutty and Fred Decker for assistance in identifying and acquiring the needed parts and equipment for this project.
