  WILD HORSES of STAGECOACH
Part Seventeen

North Side Horses

Now that the weather is cooler a number of horses have come down out of the higher valleys that separate the Flowery Range from the Virginia Range. We spotted these horses too late in the day to make identification close enough to pick out band stallions and we don't know their summer grazing territories so we haven't tried to name each individual band. As we figure out where they came from and/or any unique band characteristics we'll name the bands.
Three roans, possibly a band.
Some pintos not usually seen until winter in the valley.
Around a bend, a group of six horses.
No, there are more horses.
A lot more horses. (See the ears in the sagebrush?)
Two bands were together in this group.
The first band, mostly roans.
Another view of the first band.
