"'Yepani Mea' loosely translates to 'Autumn Moon' in Shoshone,
and fits both her color and her feminine personality. She is a bit shy, but
very sweet and kind.
"One of Mea's most stunning features is her long black mane.
There have been several instances when she was directly facing me, with her
mane flowing down both sides of her neck, that she looked like a
Native American maiden standing there in buckskins with her hair draped in front
of each shoulder. Perhaps a past life...?
"Mea has a beautiful floating trot, and is literally poetry-in-motion. I
came very close to naming her 'Dancer' because of the way she
moves (but I already know several wonderful mustangs by this name). She is
very quiet and reserved, but seems to enjoy gentle hugs and soft talk.
Mea was adopted in 1998 at the first Wild Horse Workshop in
Antioch, CA. She and her 2-month-old bay filly were amongst a group of mares
and foals brought in for adoption at the end of the week-long workshop."
