Danny checks to make sure there is no pressure in the sole area by inserting a measuring blade.
This is the appropriate amount of reach for the measuring blade.
The hoof is rasped below the nail points in order to accomodate the clinches. Irregularities and scale on the face of the hoof are also cleaned up at this time.
