We were starting to get a handle on what Pancho needed. He had to get past his
initial instinct that when someone other than Willis approached him it meant a likely confrontation.
He also had to get more comfortable with people and things within his personal space.
As a result, we focused on getting Rebecca, her mother Sharon Hinzmann, and others interacting
with him.

Rebecca and her mom needed to be able to "catch" and halter Pancho in any environment,
so we let him loose in various locations in the stable, including the arena, horse
course, front pasture and other open areas. Pancho still didn't like being approached
closely so Rebecca had to first drop a lead rope over his neck, then he could be
enticed into the halter.

Pancho also needed to be trustworthy around other horses, so we set up a number
of exercises with other horses being worked nearby.
