The various State cooperative extension services also have a wealth of practical and well written materials about the care, treatment and training of horses. If you cannot find a local extension office, your area BLM office should be able to provide you with their addresses.

Don't forget to utilize your veterinarian as a resource. He or she should be able to answer many of your questions about the care and treatment of your horse or burro.
