Wild Horse Colors
of Cedar Mountain, UT

There are wonderfully colored bands of horses in the Cedar Mountain Herd Management Area.

These images were taken by Janet Tipton during emergency watering operations in July, 2002.

Coming down from the hillsides
A couple of nice buckskins
Another band waiting its turn
Another large family band
A pinto waiting a turn
A bull antelope approaching for a drink
Gathering at the trough
A small colorful band
A large family band
A band of bachelors
More horses at a trough
The antelope come after the horses are done
The emergency water supplies will continue until the region's springs recover from years of drought.
