First trip to California

On Sunday Willy and Torsten traveled over the Sierra Nevadas to the Kickin' Back Ranch in Knightsen, CA, where a number of California Wild Horse Mentors were getting together to work with their horses. Among the equine "celebrities" they met were "Mustang Falcon," with 850 AERC endurance miles, ranked 3rd level in dressage and the 5th ranked California (all breed) competitive trail trial horse for 2007, "Velvet," the Western States WHB Expo Champion Driving Horse, and "Tristin," the region's year end (all breed) high point schooling level dressage horse - a ranking that he achieved in his first season of dressage competition. They also interacted with a number of former wild horses and the proud adopters who had gentled and trained them.
