  The GIRLS FROM SANTA CRUZ
Part Three

Mary McCaslin - Bio
Mary McCaslin's roots lie in traditional folk music which she personalizes with unique and creative stylizing. She's particularly interesting playing acoustic instruments, pioneering the style of "open tuning" and her intricate banjo work.

For years Mary toured with folk great Jim Ringer and they helped keep the folk culture alive during the years that mainstream music was driven by commercial interests.

Mary's latest album is Broken Promises (Philo/Rounder) which is bound to be another acoustic folk classic.
