Donald D. Alt and "Pastor Rick" McKinney

  Silver Springs Ranchers
Defy Federal, State Laws

Part Three

November 9th, 2007

Volunteers made a more extensive survey of the allotment and located all 22 of the horses that Mr. Alt had previously enticed into the cattle corrals. While returning to the allotment entrance they observed a parade of trucks and trailers pulling up to the cattle corrals and offloading cattle into the corrals.

When the volunteers made inquiries they were told that the corrals were just being "borrowed" to vaccinate some cattle and that they would be taken away. The license numbers of the vehicles used were NV 277-TFY, NV 863-PAJ, NV 781-UHG and NV 348-PSP. (NV 348-PSP was the same pickup Mr. Alt parked next to the cistern on November 7th.)

The apparent on-site boss of the day's operation (in lime yellow cap) was none other than
our local Rodrick C. "Pastor Rick" McKinney. McKinney arrived in the SUV, NV 277-TFY.
One of the wranglers said "Pastor Rick" often ran his cows with Don Alt's.

The vaccinating operation was taking a rather long time so the volunteers broke for lunch. Upon their return they observed the same wranglers releasing the same cattle out onto the allotment. The wranglers pushed the cattle down into a wash where they couldn't be seen from the highway.

Releasing the cattle.
