Star Dust was a Christmas present for Amanda in 1997 and she was given the nickname "Dusty" by Amanda. Dusty was born in the holding pens at Susanville
shortly after her mother was captured in '95. She became available after
her adopting owners had kept her for the year they had contracted for and
she was quickly snatched up by Amanda's parents, Arni and Smokie. Amanda
spends a lot of time with Dusty and is active in her training. She has
taken her to several local schooling shows and received ribbons in the
in-hand classes. Dusty's registered color is Dun because of her dorsal
stripe. Her coloring is called strawberry roan. Dusty's calm nature makes
her a perfect horse for Amanda to ride some day.
