Snert was adopted along with Beauty at Wild Horse
Workshop '98 in Antioch, CA. Both yearlings went through the week's gentling
in the workshop.
Their original adopters kept them pretty much as pets. Both horses were quite tame
and could be trimmed and vetted although they received no formal training after the
workshop. Before the end of their year of care and maintenance, the original adopters
had to move and could not take the horses. Julie Barraque applied to take over the adoptions,
keeping the pair together and moving them to Nevada.
Snert is a small horse but a power packed little pistol. He's extremely bright and curious
and learns at a very fast pace.
We took the youngsters out to the horse course. We played with Snert, getting him to target
using the clicker. He had the association down in about 5 minutes and was really getting
into the clicker games, as you can see from the pictures.
