You might notice in the upper right photo that that Jill often rides Christy without any headgear. An advocate of the John Lyons / Ray Hunt / Pat Parelli / Buck Brannaman philosophies of "natural horsemanship, Jill strives to "get more with less" from her mounts.
Jill and Christy recently took first in an open show. Christy was "Carrying a bridle" in accordance with show rules, however it happened to be hanging from the saddle horn!
Jill was Director of Wild Horse Workshop '99 which was held in Fletcher,
North Carolina (near Asheville.) Naturally she made an appearance with
Christy during the activities.
