The next day Joyce North came down with "Mad Max" and we talked her into playing around on Debbie.
This was about Debbie's 10th time seriously working under saddle and her first time out in
the horse course under saddle.
We started out using Prints as the guide horse and Debbie had absolutely no problems with any of the obstacles. |

We were all sad to see Debbie go home but afterall, she is Sara's horse! Here
was Sara's report we received a couple of weeks later.
"Debbie says hello. I know she misses her time with "the girls". She is doing great, we go for short (1 hour) rides, and she has been to a 4-H meeting with many horses. She does great, no problems. A very special horse!" She sounds like a "keeper" to us! So much for the theory that older horses are just too wild to gather and gentle. | |
