Now it's time to do the evolutions from the saddle. First Alan moves the rope all over Pequiño while underway to get him to process the stimulus. | |
Ropes over the head and neck

Next Alan backs Pequiño to the barrel, then he ropes it and he drags the barrel in lazy figures such as circles and figure eights. | |
Backing to the barrel

Once the horse is working well, Alan can introduce the unexpected such as causing
the barrel to flip or move awkwardly toward the horse.
Pequiño stayed calm and after the session Alan's 10 year old daughter took him for a ride. | |
