We had previously "shooed" Lucky into the trailer to move him. We decided it was time to teach him to load on lead. The prior work out in the horse course prepared Lucky to deal with the trailer without too much stress. | |

Getting ready to step down

After the Olympic horses left, Lucky didn't get a much work. We needed to start working down his sides so that we could handle those overgrown feet. Having been not handled, Lucky started to go back into his pattern of not wanting people on his left side. Tami worked patiently with him and he began to again loosen up around people. |

Lucky has flourished with all the attention he has received. He still has some issues but he likes people, is one of four horses who literally gets turned loose in the stable to wander and play on a regular basis. He leads on voice cues and will come trotting up when called, even if he is out with other horses. |
