Training Case Study:

"Black Bart"
Part Two

Not at all camera shy.

This series of photos shows Bart exploring all the spooky stuff and getting pretty confident in a matter of minutes. Allowing him to explore on his own maximized his "left brain" activity and minimized "right brain" flight or fight responses. By the end of the session we could move objects around without him reacting.
Checking out a bareback pad cinch.
"What's with this overturned tub?".
"I get it. I have to move this stuff out of the way."
"Hmmm... Here's that scary cone."
"Maybe not so scary."
"Looks like they're showing me the ropes."
"I'm just too cool."
